Zogby: 65% of Republicans still believe Saddam/9-11 connection

Ignorance in face of well-known facts = idiocy?

If I believe the WTC attacks were orchestrated by the US government, and still believe this after being on this forum and reading all the evidence which punches holes in my theory for three years or so, am I not being a bit of an idiot?

Of course, I'd be quite happy to ammend my statement: most Republicans are ignorant.
It's not much better, is it?

not idiotic but ignorance
who particapated in the poll though?

About 1,000 likely american voters. From the article:

The Zogby America telephone poll of 1,014 likely voters conducted over Labor Day weekend finds members of the two parties diametrically opposed on key issues, while independents line up more closely to Democratic viewpoints.

These are scientific polls that are usually very accurate, within +/- 3% margin of error.

And it is being an idiot. Ignorance would be if they didn't know the facts. These people have been told the facts repeatedly by the people they voted for, from their own congress, from their own president, and in large by their own media. Yet, because of their stupidity, they still believe lies that the GOP impanted in their head right before the invasion of Iraq.
