These aren't shots taken with Garrysmod - these are actual Zombie Master in-game shots, as can be evidenced by the fantastic HUD.

E picks up objects, it is up to you what you do with them...building barricades is one of the many things you can do.

Hell yes! Also placing explosive barrels in strategic points is a good tactic. Barricades are often essential. :p

Man, I can't wait until it comes out, I would really like to make maps for it (I'm not that good though). Oh well, I guess I'll have to wait like everyone else (except those sneaky beta testers ofcourse... you bastards!)

Yeah, building barricades is pretty essential to gameplay - but Zombies have a limited ability to bust props out of the way. Failing that, the Zombie Master can (as of the next internal build in a week's time) bust props manually, in typically eerie ways.

And yeah, its awesome. Me and the team have all intention of releasing snippets of information and short videos, just to make sure you're all PUMPED!

wow, this mod just walked up and kicked my nuts. i wonder what other mods are in development out there that we haven't heard about
 
Also, we have an Angry Lawyer skin in-game, which adds extra AWESOME to it all. If I'm feeling good, later on, I might post a picture of it in action.

E gives access to the secret rave level. So far, I'm the only one who's been there.
 
I was confused as to why Disturbed said that... Yes, E does pick up objects in HL2.. Your point?
 
so i have a few questions. not as though it matters terribly because this gameplay sounds absolutely perfect and fun, but are there going to be all new zombie, player, and weapon models with new animations/sounds/etc...? also, can someone post a list of everyone from the forums who is involved with making this mod? i love the idea that this is a hl2.net creation. i must say guys, im thoroughly impressed with the progress thusfar.
 
Right now it's using HL2 models with some custom ones (Lawyer, shotgun) but I think there's going to be a lot more models later.

Me = beta tester, also did a load of sprays

...but you're right there. In fact, everyone working on the mod was origonally from HL2.net.
 
I'm working on the code, on some of the maps, on a few of the models... Hell, I've got a hand in pretty much most areas. However, the only one I do with any sort of proficiency is the coding part. And the testing. Crushing Kangy with a mob of drag-zombies has to be one of my favourite things.

Oh, my role is tester and ideas, although I appointed myself secretary, and I've got a map concept all laid out to try working on sooner or later.
 
What do I do? Hell, I just wanted to write a preview, and now I get to play it all day!

thanks for telling me what youre all doing. keep up the good work. are all of the beta testers also doing something for the mod? if so, that makes me regret my lack of skill (although im slowly piecing together a rather impressive, if i must say so myself, first attempt at a map that is zombie inspired).

Hetairia in general playtests and discusses the gameplay and game design. In addition, Lawyer is our leaderish coder person, TGB models some things, several people do concept art, Pi Mu Rho and I are level designing (so far Pi's has been far more impressive as mine is not too far in development :D), etc.

There are no non-Halflife2.net members on the development team.

And Zombie Master doesn’t try to break this mould - All your favourite zombies return in the usual stench of rotting flesh. Fans of the genre rejoice, then. The classic multiplayer gameplay is also intact; which means teaming up with your best friends to smite your oppressors back to hell (or just shivering in a corner with a shotgun raised to the door).

classic multiplayer is "also" intact, so its sp too?

I would love this as sp, since im on 56k
 
I said "the classic multiplayer GAMEPLAY is also intact". Not that multiplayer is intact. Surely a singleplayer version would take the whole point out of fighting a real, human opponent?
 
nah, not if you control the zombvies, and destroy the ai driven humans muahahahahahaha. either way
