Its still in its very early stages. They havent even begun work on it yet, but sign up for the forums. They say they're actually gonna use the communities ideas for the game.

Know what engine they're using? I mean, this is gotta be a FPS right? I'd find it a bit weird auto-attacking a zombie for 5 minutes.

I can see it now... farming the spawn of Zombies...
-.-

I can't see this one being any good.

Yeah, thinking it over, this could never possibly work well. There's obviously gonna be more Player Survivors than Player Zombies, and what exactly are zombies gonna do? You can't please everyone. Some people like slow zombies, some like fast, some like smart, etc. And the chance of becoming a zombie, is it possible, what can you do, blah blah blah. They're better off making a regular multiplayer game like BrainBread or even Zombie Master.

I imagine it would be kinda like the WOW alliance / horde relationship, except that players on one side (ie the live side) can slip through and be permanently thrown onto the other side (undead side).

Reading their FAQ certainly shows some enthusiasm. It all depends on how they execute it. I've always thought that a game against human controlled zombies would be freaking awesome (hence my anticipation for Zombie Master)

I'll watch it closely, but they'll need to get it just right to please people.

The whole "for mature audiences only" thing is kind of lame...

Why? You want you purple elves with shiny wands?
Why cant that be Mature too?
As long as those elves are getting their arms ripped out of their sockets with foutians of blood spraying out...

There will be very disturbing imagery and content that is NOT intended for anyone under the age of 18. This is DEFINITELY NOT FOR YOUR CHILDREN!

yeah, its time to see 10 year olds running around in the game screaming and stuff... and i doubt its going to be any more disturbing doom3 XD

Bah, I'm so sick of MMORPGs.
It's about time someone makes an open-ended singleplayer "RPG" that's sort off a mix of George Romeros "The Dead" movies and "28 Days Later"(I.e. raiding stores for food, you could set it so that at x intervals rescue choppers scour the city for survivors and might find you.).:p

Yeah, I'd like to see more singleplayer stuff... but the money's in the MMO's, unfortunantly.

Urban Dead shoes that a Zombie MMO can work. Even though it's turn-based with 50AP a day, the fact remains that many of its mechanics could be ported over to a real-time RPG. Gogogogo Exanimusthegame!

Yup, sadly.. That's why most innovative games these days are either open-source/freeware or shareware/indie.:sniper:

Oh man if someone made a sandbox single player zombie RPG I'd crap myself.

J4. Oblivion is maybe the only current SP RPG that will totally kick ass and make money AT THE SAME TIME - if it isn't pirated out of oblivion (zing!) first. Hell, market records show that innovation doesn't earn money - look at Planescape Torment and Psychonauts.
