Actually, about the combining zombies, they do evolve and stuff if you've ever played Opposing Force. They are called.... what was it... Gonomes. They are pretty scary, running at you with arms reaching out for you, and a giant mouth in its chest. Heres a picture:

Yes, I think we'll be seeing the next stage of zombie evolution. I'd say that they start out with abilities based upon those of the host species (Bipedal locomotion and two claws for humans, for example.), but then they mutate towards a common form (Gonarch?)...

And as for the spoiler, all I knew is that Vortigaunts would be on your side, not if all of them would be.

Yeah that would make sense, because they are "slaves" and basicly have no free will, so without a commander they would be brainless. Maybe even mindless.
