I think this is new-thread worthy. Were you guys just waiting for someone to realize it was up or am I a retard and missing something?

I just read the description of the mod, it sounds really cool, an FPS/RTS hybrid.
 
First time i know what the mod is all about. Nice idea.

I don't see cats being owned on the site, what gives?
 
We did have a particularly gory picture of a zombie ripping apart and eating a cat, but PETA gave us a lot of stick, something about animal cruelty or similar nonsense.
 
I thought by owning cats, you meant control a stealth cat army of the dead for percision attacks, any maybe be able to pet, groom, and love them tamagochi style :D

Great concept. Shotguns look really goofy. Possibly reskin the guy NPC with a bright orange prison unifrom? That would be neat, and maybe also reskin the girl with regulare clothes.

Key points: alpha build, art content nowhere near finished.

Nevertheless input is welcome, so: What exactly is goofy about the shotguns? Are you talking about the first person shotgun or the third person one?
The third person player models will eventually be replaced by custom ones, until then we probably won't waste time reskinning what is ultimately a placeholder.
 
The guy in the suit is indeed the Angry Lawyer model.

Heh. That's not the shotgun, it's the rifle.

First person models are more likely to remain in the more final version than the textures. We don't have a dedicated texture artist at the moment so we have to make do.

On position: Interesting you should say that, because it's aligned in the exact same fashion as any of Valve's weapons. I think it's more of a combination of perspective (it's a long gun) and lack of crosshair for reference.
 
i have beed reading what friends think about this mod and yeah it sounds really neat although i haven't registered at the forums or been a part of helping them out :)

Even in the dark picture taken outside with the guy holding the shotgun in FPS view it looks weird. Maybe im crazy or something, but i would just recommend rotating it a little to the right, center it a little better, and the guns will feel more comfortable.
 
To be quite honest, although you might say it doesn't look right in the screenshot, in-game, it *feels* right.

Can i play as angry lawyer in the game? That would more than compensate for the weird guns.
 
Yes. it even has my face mapped to the character, although minus my rather thick hair.
