sex between a husband and wife (which is what we believe it was intended for originally) is considered one of God's greatest gifts, all others are a perversion of the intention of sex. although I personally would admit that if a couple (a man and a woman that is!) were as committed to one another as a married couple but just haven't gone through the official ceremony for whatever reason then they would be married spiritualy anyway.

You're viewing religious doctrine as an equation. These actions = these results, when obviously it's usually considered to have far more flexibility than that in the complex factors of faith, regret, repentance, and self improvement.

If someone is a beliver who committed a sin for which they never had the chnce to repent, or one they forgot about before they died then depending on the severity of the sin I'd guess their faith would still save them.

there are 2 types of fear of God. the first fear is accepting that God is all-powerful and the fact that we are powerless against him, in doing so we are submitting ourselves to his love and to his redeeming grace. this brings us closer to him.

the second kind, is what you are talking about- that is, being afraid of God and thereby rejecting God by seperating ourselves from him.

true love of God requires the former of those two, the latter cannot coexist with love of God.

I never said anything specifically about homosexuality, I was actually talking about anything that falls within the perview of porneia- an ancient greek umbrella term used in the new testament to dentote sexual immorality. However I do belive that homosexuality is wrong (no offence intended to any gays we have on these forums) but not necessarily man-made. the fact that homosexuality occurs among animals does not mean it comes from God, the Bible never says animals are incapable of sin.
