there's a script, if i'm not mistaken its cspolytools+meshtools that countains a lot of usefull tools, one of them is creating a polygon out of the vertices you selected, so you don't have to do it manually
actually, the eyes are supposed to be that small, based on the reference :)
and about the nose, don't worry about it, this is just the base mesh..some zbrushing will be done once I complete it.

yes, and does the texture appear properly on your model? If it doesn't, then you've got your mat id's wrong. You should also try a multi/sub-object material to your model, but I don't think it's necessary anymore.

in most cases, when using studiocompiler you wouldn't even have to look at the qc. Here are some things you should check when you have problems.
1) did you set everything correctly before exporting, mat id's, textures
2) did you create the folder directory (for example if you wanted to compile...
haha, what kind of xsi user are you if you don't know what custom shelves are?
They're like custom palletes where you can define what kind of tools you want, too increase efficiency :|
wait, gmax doesn't supply manuals? If it doesn't then sorry, been a long time since i've used it. Anyway, you're better of using blender, or xsi mod tool than using gmax..it's outdated ;)
