Well, if the delay IS because of the leak, then I think as gamers WE should "retaliate" and help Valve catch the little punks that did this. Then they can cheat and "rage" at checkers all they want while being OWNED in a Federal "pound me in the a$$" prison :laugh:

At least HL2 is something NEW. Not a terrible PC port of a 2 year old console game. :thumbs: :laugh: It is a great game though, on Xbox. Too bad MS got their hands on it. :(

I don't think it will. When those benchmarks came out, I took out my Geforce FX and bought an ATI Radeon 9600 card. I'm sure I wasn't the only one. HL2 is going to sell a lot of ATI hardware.

Man, I was hoping that game would suck. I finally just got to use the computer again because my wife got bored with the FIRST Sims game. :laugh:

I'm not saying it ISN'T delayed. Just an idea I had. It would make sense to delay the game. In fact, my thought is that a delay would be due to them spending more time optimizing the codepath for Nvidia. It would be in Valve's interest, as a great many people have Nvidia graphics cards...

If the delay is genuine, my bet is that they are spending more time optimizing the code for Nvidia. Then when they announce it, the reason will be that they want to "bring the best gaming experience to as many people as possible" or something.

I just thought it up. I mean, if it IS someone spoofing the email, Valve is going to have to address it, and probably come out with an official release saying it's a hoax, and confirm that the release date is still Sept 30th. If it's a hoax, but it HAS been pushed back, Valve will still...

Is it possible someone concocted this hoax to force Valve to make some kind of announcement one way or the other? They haven't said ANYTHING for a while, maybe someone did this to give them a little nudge. I know, "STFU Noob!" ;)

Hi guys, I'm a bright shiny newbie. If you check out the link to Adrenaline Vault the Ninjase "story" has, you will find it leads to a blank Avault news post. If you dig further in the news section of Avault, there's no stories on HL2 at all on the first page. Scared the crap out of me...
