I tend to take the approach that would probably horrify most people. I use a vacuum cleaner to suck the dust out. This isn't quite as daft as it sounds. I use the thin plastic nozzle on an adjustable power machine with the power setting low (the setting used for curtains). Carefully position the...
I think the limited weapons idea got tried out in the beta stages of HL2 but was dropped in favour of the current as many weapons as you like approach from HL1. If I remember correctly some of the early beta videos show weapons being dropped so others could be picked up. If valve have already...
The best option may be to ignore trying to take the snipers out just yet. The is an ammo box ahead for replenishing rockets. You need to get down the road and round the corner to the right, ducking behind cover and sprinting. Once round the corner you can enter the building that's now on your...
This mod can still be downloaded, however its very difficult to find. A lot of the download links for this on various sites are corrupt. The only place this now appears to be is at boomtown.net: http://download.boomtown.net/en_uk/articles/art.view.php?id=12571
Black Mesa was nuked. We saw the flash at the end of Opposing force. But how do you actually nuke a bunker. Large chunks, especially the reaction chamber, are buried deep underground. To see the flash from the bomb the nuke must have been near the surface, so its possible that some deeper parts...

There are still a lot of people playing half-life 1 mods, and that's been around for nearly 10 years. Source is still being developed and new titles will be released using it for quite a while. I would easily say 5 years before popularity will start to ebb.
In the January issue of PC Zone UK there is an interview with Marc Laidlaw with an interesting snippet of info:
I know the has been a lot of discussion about another black mesa employee reappearing, but this is the first time I have seen anything concrete as to who it might be.
I think the parameter is wrong. Try using -console instead of -toconsole.
If the game itself is corrupt then you can get steam to download a fresh copy. All you need to do is use the "activate a product on steam" command and punch in the serial number. It will then download the latest patched...
Chances are that the rocket wasn't built by the rebels. Most likely old Russian equipment left over from before the combine invasion. In which case they are getting somewhere in adapting it to deliver their newly designed payload, whatever that turns out to be.......
