I'm not going to be able to play it once it's done anyway, seeing as it's only pre-loading, so doesn't make much difference how fast it downloads ! Edit: preload finished, no play yet though :(

Pre-loading at 900kb/s over wireless. Over 500mb and only 4% ! Big then ! Edit: 2MB/s over ethernet, much better ! Wireless ftl

The latest update has definitely provided a decent improvement in performance for me. I still get the odd framerate dip below 20, but very rare, as opposed to before. Average framerates have improved by a significant amount. My old dual core is obviously still not quite cut out for it though...

Ooooooh, that Once More Unto The Breach video a few pages back was sweet. It has me pretty excited about this. One of my favourite things about the first game was the outdoor settings, the lush green open world early on in Halo 1, and this looks like it will have some beautiful outdoor settings...

Pitz is spot on. The GTX260 is more than adequate. What you are seeing in bad company 2 is a game that actually utilises the extra cores of a quad core, and penalises those without. You don't need that powerful a graphics card to run it, people get by fine with the previous generation, 8800GTX...

I've played a good few rounds now. Quite enjoying it so far. Sounds are great as mentioned many times and i quite like the pace of the game, not too fast, not too slow. It does run horribly though, regardless of settings. I wonder whether that is down to it being a beta, or it really does...

Managed to get into a game first time i fired it up. Since then, every time i tried to join a game through "play now" it would give the old "connection to the server lost" message, and if you try to use the server browser it would CTD. When i did manage to get into a game, it ran dog rough and...

Have a pre-order with play.com, but my beta code hasn't turned up in my inbox yet. If it's not there by the end of this afternoon i think i might have to pre-order on steam instead and swallow the 10 pound difference. Definitely want to get involved in the beta ! :D

GT5 prologue was great. Really enjoyed it. Looked great and felt great to drive with a wheel. Still looking forward to GT5, it'll be brilliant. Luckily i have great pc sims such as GTR evolution and rfactor to keep me busy, along with Forza3.
