OMG!! the lighting is way better... I don't know how you can say the hl2 lighting is better, it is darker but also much more realistic. I've been doing CG lighting for a few years now, just as a hobby. And that's my opinion.

pff for textures just get your mod team to invest into the 3dtotal texture CD's at www.3dtotal.com. Extremely cheap compared to other texture packages like dosch and royalty free. You'll be using them the rest of your lives even in a professional evironment

You can't povide a single model with better lighting. As for the mod it looks nice but not worth the effort of installing in my opinion.
