Glad you liked it :) I believe that the only way to completely remove piracy from the gaming world is to use authorisation like that. It'll need to be far more complex than what I described for it to be warezproof.

I hope steam is required to authorise the key before the game is enabled in offline mode. People without internet connections are in the extreme minority IMO. There is a way around this though, you could email valve your product key and they could email you an unlock file which will only work...

I bought the silver package the day the option was available.

HL2 will do better than any other PC game, whether it beats Halo 2 in sales is not certain. Anyway : GOLDAGE!!!
