What if it's a dark and stormy night and you're sitting at home wanting to play hl2. And then all of a sudden *zap*, lightning strikes and your inetrnet connection goes down. Wouldn't you be sorry you got your hl2 off steam then.
It'd be kinda cool if Steam only donwloaded the parts of the game that you need. Like when you first download it it will get the engine and the hazard course and while you play hazard course it would download the first chapter and so on. This way you won't have to wait for a gig sized download...
I'd like to see real-time raytracing. That would change the way games look completely.
