Normally I do use reference lines and plan out my pieces when drawing people, but...
A) There's no eraser in that program so any reference lines you make will remain unless you cover them. It would have looked even sloppier if I had used the Loomis method or something to make the head.
B)...
Yeah, I knew it looked a bit ape-like (of course people are of the same family). That's because I emphizised the shading around his mouth too much, and there's no eraser in ArtPad.

I discovered artpad today and this is one of the doodles I did, so I figured I'd post it in an appropriate forum just to see what people think.
I would work with you if I had more time. But just for your own benefit, I'm going to ask this question.
What is it that should make me or any other artist believe that this project will follow through to completion?
Don't take that the wrong way. It's just that mods that sound as...
Or you could use the code that draws the targeting dot for the RPG. That would be a more realistic laser sight than a visible beam. Probably wouldn't be too hard to attach that to other weapons.
edit:
Yeah, I guess there is one for exported models. That's gay. What's the point of that. You can save and load models without a limit. Why limit the exporter? That makes no sense.
I know HL2 shaders are written in HLSL (High level shader language). HLSL is owned by Microsoft, so I would imagine you can compile them with Visual Studio .Net. I can't say for sure though.
I did find this while searching google for info on the subject. I don't know if it will benefit you...
It should be in the weapon's script file.
"Bullets" = <some number> //how many bullets per shot
"CycleTime" = <some number> //how long to wait between shots
Is that addon supposed to work with the retail version of XSI 4.0? I can't seem to get it to work with my retail copy. It gives me some error about the addon already being registered when I try to install it. It installed just fine with the modtool, but I don't want to use the mod tool, I...
Why is the addon not included in a steam update? Why do I have to go to wait in line at freakin' FilePlanet to get this update? I thought the whole point of steam was to distribute stuff like this.
Well, here we are, about a month from the last SDK update, and it appears to me as though Valve has failed to include a model exporter for the retail version of XSI, again. Has Valve lost their collective mind? This is the program they use in-house! How could they not have an exporter for it...
Ok, I discovered that Steam decided that HL2 shouldn't auto-update, without informing me of this decision. Therefore, it would not decrypt the SDK content. Problem solved.
Every time I try to load the Source SDK from the play games menu it give me an error saying:
MountFilesystem( 221 ) failed: SteamMountFilesystem(1112,221,0x451fbfc=,0x451fd0c) failed with error 114: Cache needs decryption
I've tried deleting the SDK content twice and downloading it again...
How long have you waited at the blurry screen? It takes quite a while sometimes.
Personally I think the whole loading a map as a background before showing the menu is the stupidest idea I've ever seen for a UI. Just load a freakin' picture so I can play the game instead of sitting there for...
