I have it retail but I couldn't play without the cd yesterday because Steam was too busy to process my serial registration. And when I looked at properties of HL2 in Steam offline play wasn't available either. But when I was playing last night I get a Steam popup that my HL2 was finaly validated...
Yeah I saw that one too, I first thought I saw a combine so I shot it with my magnum but he didn't die but he walked away. I saw him another time when I was driving my waterboat through a canal and I saw him walking on a small bridge.

I was less exited this week than I expected to be at that time. But today I really want to play it, I'm at school now and I read all those messages 'I've played HL2!!! It's the best friggin game evah!' and that's really driving my nuts :(
Wooohoo, Thanks! I was a little worried about that. But when it was supposed too come out (in Sep 2003 I think ;)) the 9800 was the best 3d card available, so maybe that makes a little sense.
[EDIT] and when I think about HL2 last year and 3d cards I remember those ATI and NVidea benchmarks...
But those PC versions are exact the same as their console conterparts. So that means a PC game that scores 9.0 is better than a console game with that score because they are less severe for console games. And if there's a difference of 0.7 between the two Halos that means if HL2 was on the...
