Ray tracing is a waste of money. Yea - lets use this method to steal tons of CPU cycles away from importnat things like AI, pathfinding, scripting, etc...

Oh - I removed the Driver THEN the CP. Then I installed 3.8. Guess I gotta do this all over AGAIN. lol

I have a 9700 Pro. Since I installed 3.8, my Aquamark Score dropped by 1000 points and I get sporadic 3Dmark03 "Out of Focus" errors. I've also seen several tech site forums loaded with people complaining about various issues. But the Smartshader effects are cool :rolleyes:

Re: Re: ATI's Catalyst 3.8 Drivers are Screwy Well, I just re-installed the 3.7 and now everything works pefectly and my score went back to normal. Did you guys uninstall th e3.7 before installing 3.8? Or did you just overwrite?
