Almost definately memory problem. DDR400 on 32bit AMD processor is notoriouly unstable, even though it says it takes it. Believe me, go into your BIOS and turn down memory speed to 333 (usually 83%) of full speed. I've seen this odd behaviour many times. NB - if you ever get error messages...

Correct, it has everything to do with error messages and stops during map loads - after many previous maploads. IE game over......
