I don't know how DLP projectors compare to DLP projection TVs.... but my DLP projection TV has the slightest delay while playing games due to processing time of upscaling or something. Its a little better when you have HD input (xbox 360), but if it needs to upscale... its slow.
Awesome for...

Nobody even mentioned how great it was back in the day (extended play, techTV... they are new words). When I first started watching, it was ZDTV. Leo and Kate Botello did The Screen Savers, and Leo also did call for help. Adam Sessler did Gamespot TV (much...
I was willing to spend 1600, but looking to spend less. Now I can spend 1100, and get about the same performance. BTW, if you put together a dual core system for 1600, you must have compromised something that I would have rathre had than the dual core capabilities. 1100 includes everything I...

Yes, another one of these threads, but this one is a bit different. The difference is that I have no problem finding a computer that can fit into my price range (~$1,500-$1,600US)... I just want to see what you people can do on a lower budget. It is definately possible, so just make the best...
a 6800gt will run the new unreal engine just fine, obviously not at the highest detail, but that's what you get for playing a brand new game on a 2+ yr old card. You won't be out of luck with a 6800gt, just making some sacrifices.
consider yourselves lucky... the college i'm attending this fall is gonna cost me like 25k/year for five years. That is after grants and scholarships too. Yuck.
