I will weep. Not tears of sadness, no sir. Tears of joy.
Also I will play the game, on the hardest difficulty, and finish it probably a week or two from then. Why not savour the first time through? I often find myself wishing I could go back and play games for the first time again, like...
Due to a pact made with satan some decades ago - the details of which are beyond mortal comprehension - Valve are unable to release new wallpapers.
You think I made that up? Prove it.
I enjoyed the original Halo; at first. Throughout the entire Half-Life, you never backtrack a great deal. The ENTIRE second half of halo is pretty much retracing your steps back to the start again. And that path is made up of the same 3-4 identical "alien" rooms.
I'll play Halo 2 when it...
My only issue with Xen was that the massive potential of that world was wasted. The Xen levels were just alright. The very first moment I teleported there though, was very impressive.
OK, as someone already pointed out, the network code is part of the source engine. Whether HL2 ever had a multiplayer component is utterly irrelevant. Valve are not going to try and and sell a complete game engine like Source without netcode.
As it happens, valve are using the netcode in...
Movies only last a couple of hours, and you just sit there wishing you could get up to piss.

The OFLC controls the rating systems and is a government agency, they reviewed them relatively recently, and merged film and video game classifications. Yet they decided not to have an R18+ rating for video games, because of the reason I stated above.
By the way, this is the first time I...
Censorship of video games in Australia is something that makes me mad. Grand Theft Auto 3 and VC were both altered, I don't know about san andreas.
The OFLC believes video games are still chiefly a child dominated form of entertainment.
HL1: Houndeyes, Tentacles
HL2: They are all awesome
Could someone also tell me the name of the huge monster in OpFor that fired those laser things? They hung out in dark sewers a lot.
Steam is intrusive, and assumes a high level of ignorance on the part of the user. This is why I dislike it.
EDIT: And your assuming that everyone dislikes it for aesthetic reasons is an insult.
