oh and lowerCaps naming SUCKS I dislike it very much. I generally cap every word.
SomeVariable.
I'm yet to confuse a variable with a function or object...I don't like the WinSock type naming at all...someone's shift/caps lock keys wer busted that day.
So umm.. it's like the "feath" in "feather".
edit: Didn't read whole thread. I am Australian, I DO NOT pronounce it "fevver" that's just gay. No one else I know pronouces it like that either.
Well I'm calling him "fee-th" as in thief reversed. So :P
People are complaining because they're whinging idiots and somehow feel valve owes them something.
I think we'll see more well known people doing voices for games, as games become more mainstream and actually have stories worthy of good actors.
But in HL2 any voices from HL1 are played by the same actors afaik. Which means Gordon will have the same superb voice acting.
Gordon says: "..."
well Vice City had Ray Liotta.
And I remember C&C Renegade (and how crap was that!?) had "Odo" from Star Trek: DS9.
The voice of Max Payne (James McAfrrey or something) has been in a few films and such.
There's probably a few more semi-well-known people who have done game voices.
I would buy this if I had too much money and not enough sense. Although you could sink it and make a lucritive diving site.
If it's real (which I doubt) that is.
I don't know about those games, so I'll go....
crap: Any NES game.
really crap: "Creatures" which boasts "superb AI"...I paid AUD$20 for that crap.
most crap: Any 'educational' game.
The best option I would say is to increase poly count manually.
edit: afaik chamfer is not designed to create round edges and it has never worked for me.
If the game isn't coming out until April or so, they probably don't want to release anything yet because it's too early to start the hype machine.
When they announce a (more) solid release date maybe we'll see some media.
I skipped this generation of consoles. If Nintendo can pull their act together, I think I may just buy a next gen Nintendo, if not I won't be buying anything.
I haven't visited Nintendo.com in a while but the site looks nice, although it's unforgiving on my 56k.
