1. The weapon view models are the ones you'll see in the players hands, I.E. the one you are carrying.

It depends on what you want modeled. The ONLY thing I can't model very well (Read suckage) are player models/characters, I can model vehicles, weapons and other things pretty good though. I won't get into my textureing, for some reason everything I texture I hate. I can do some animating too...

I think if you knock the amount of sides the holes have down to around 6 you wouldn't really be able to tell all that much in the game. They'll be pretty far away from the players view most likely.
If you look at his hand on the sword in the second picture you can see it looks like he didn't wrap the fingers around the hilt, that gives it away as CG. Deffinately nice.
