It's not. They've said many times that their first priority is Half-Life 2, not CS:S, and as such, they wouldn't delay H-L 2 for it. By the time testing is complete, and VU has tested the release candidate, CS:S should be done.
I don't think we'll be looking at any more delays, now that the boxes and CD's are finalized, but I think it'll be mid-September before we see the product.
Well, I figure, it's not all about the graphics. Judging from what we've seen, once you get started, you'll be so hooked that you won't notice many of the things that look nice, because you'll be busy playing the game.
Nah, I figure I can deal with a little choppiness here and there, it's really just the processer that will slow me down. It won't run bad for a rig that I got in 2000.
EDIT: Plus, I can run UT2004 at max settings & 1024x768 res, BFV at max settings and 800x600 res, and Far Cry at medium...
WOW
That's all that needs to be said ;-)
EDIT: Maybe a little more needs to be said. As in, great detail, especially the "Property of City 17 Combine Forces" plate.
Ok, I have a 1.3 Ghz CPU, 512 MB RD-RAM, and an ATI Radeon 9200. I'm not worried about my system's capability to handle H-L 2, so neither should you lol.
Yep, [Dragoon] is right. Gabe's stated MANY times that CS:S is to test Source, not Steam. They need to test Source with the masses like that so that they can be sure it will run properly on most system configurations. He's also said that CS:S will most likely ship with Half-Life 2, but that...
OK, There's an SP only version, that will NOT be released on Steam. Gabe himself said
The SP+MP will be released in retail and on Steam. You will have to EITHER be connected to Steam, or have the CD in the drive to play.
Again, from Newell
Ok, the dot makes sense, because even if there was dust in the air, the laser is thin enough, and it's light enough outside that you wouldn't be able to see the line anyways.
As for the rocket, it just likes red shiny things, so it goes for the laser.
