As for the silver compounds I used Silver 5.
As for cleaning it, I did it the same way I have always done it, I wash it off with scolding hot water, let it dry, then resurface the bottom with a very high grit sand paper used for resurfacing glass. That method has never failed for me.
After...
The only exhaust is up top and out of the power supply, the two rear fans are intake. As for airflow, there is PLENTLY lol. I looked at a few other posts in other forums about this kind of thing, poeple are getting into the high 60's and low 70's. :x
I have checked and rechecked the heatsink...
I find this odd, my new 3200 seems to almost outrun my Volcano 11 modded heatsink. It's rated up to 3400+ and it ran great on my 2600, but now with my new 3200 Barton the temps are rocketing clear up to 50C and idleing at 43C. It does seem to have somewhat of a larger surface area on the die so...
Some of you might recall a previous post by me about whether or not to upgrade my 2600 TB to a 3200 Barton. The difference in specs was almost un-noticeable, so I wondered exactly how well it would push past my 2600.
As of now I am in the "Burn-In" process for my brand new 3200 Barton. From...
Try any of these:
1. Remove the ground pin from the power cord.
2. Strip the CAT5 cable and separate the pairs or wires, then stick them into an electrical socket.
3. Place a Dell sticker on the front of it.
4. Send it to Dell or Gateway for repairs.
5. Turn the system on and off...
Wow, that sux for the 64's, no use getting one right this moment :E
I use a Sapphire 9800Pro for my gaming needs, no bottleneck there.
And that is also my issue, everything is up to par (or close to it), which means the only major upgrades I can do are a 9800XT, and the 3200+ Barton :(...
WOW! Those charts are GREAT! Total ownage though :hmph:
After seeing that......it really isn't worth it. Oddly enough the AMD64 benchmarks don't seem much higher? Maybe because alot of those tests were 32 bit?
Thanks :E
Well, I wonder how much faster it is. My CPU speed is 2.083Ghz becuase of the 333FSB. Those 3200's are at 2.2Ghz (iirc) I know that is not a giant leap, but.........ARWRWWRWRWRRWRRWRWRWRRW! :E
I knew someone would say this... :x :E
Perhaps I will get it, if I can find a buyer for my...
lol, sorry, you must have read my post before the edit. I looked back and saw that the 3400 was only available in 64bit CPU's. SO the 3400 is definitely out.
Is it worthy to say that my CPU has only half the cache as the Barton 3200? Or that my CorsairXMS pro PC3200 1GB Dual Channel RAM is...
OK, here is the sitiation...
I am running-
XP 2600 @ 333FSB on a SL-75FRN2-L (Soltek nForce 2)
the RAM is at 400FSB
what I am looking at-
XP 3200 Barton @ 400FSB on a SL-75FRN2-L (Soltek nForce 2)
the RAM stays at 400FSB
Now for the issues-
Will the SL-75FRN2-L (Soltek nForce...
Data bleeding between cables, heh, well I guess I had better call every major corporation in the world and thell them that their CAT5e and CAT6/6e standard network cables are leaking data.
More than likely the rolled IDE cables are twisted in the same fasion as CAT5/6 cabling...
Uhm, after checking newegg, by brand (arctic cooling) I found the heatsinks you were talking about. Although different models were there, none of them were copper. They had one which had a copper core, but the heatsink was still aluminum. My recommendation, try something a little better like...
That's easy, just leave your PC off.....rofl.....sorry.
OK try some solutions from these peeps, they specialize in this kinda stuff.

And you think nVidia doesn't do this? :D
You would be surprised... :naughty:
Honestly, I could care less which card is claimed to be the "Uber" card. Just as long as I get to play Half Life 2, I am happy... :D :D
I am still suprised at how long the 9800pro/XT has been top of the line for ATi. I know some other cards like the 8500 and such got owned the second you installed it. You get home and it becomes a legacy card!
Ramsinks are fine to use on the VGA silencer.
Check to see if you seated the card right in the slot after you "jam" the VGA cable in.
The VGA silencer has a metal shim used to help ground the heatsink, make sure it is grounded properly.
Also make sure you didn't crush the board on the...
