My cat Chester, one of like, 12 i have :\ My mum breeds them and takes them to cat shows, this one won the main cat show a couple of weeks ago, like the cat equivalent of crufts dog show...making him officially the best cat in the UK :D wooo
Yeah that's what i did in the end, uninstalled it all and then deleted everything from registry about max and re-installed, got it working a couple of days ago, but thanks anyway for the help. Didn't realise max came with so many little bugs :\
My version of max, which has worked for months, has today started crashing to desktop after the initial loading screen. I have tried re-installing but it still doesn't work...any ideas why this might be?
Yeah it was the lock zoom/pan option that was making it jump, turns out one background was a different size than the other, even though they are the same size bitmaps, i selected 'reset viewport background' on both, and re-sized my model to fit, now it works fine. Thanks for all the help guys...
Ok thanks for the workaround, i created 2 planes, and they work but they only show up in perspective view, which isn't too useful when i'm trying to edit the model, can i get them to show up in the other viewports?
Yeah it was a poly, turned out the problem was only occuring when i tried to cut in perspective view, once i went into user view it worked fine :| Hmm
I have one more question (sorry, total noob lol). I have 2 images set up as background images, as i am modelling a human figure, one is a side...
Hmm, im still kinda new to this. At the top 'snaps toggle' is deactivated. If i click on it (turns yellow) then bring up the properties it says that grid snap is on. I've tried cutting with that on and off, doesn't work still.
Sometimes in max i try to cut across a square of rectangular face, and instead of it cutting from the middle of one side to the middle of the other the cut jumps into the corner on the other side, giving me a diagonal cut, which i don't want...how do i stop it doing this?
Oh right ok :) Well i've been looking around for not-too-complex tutorials on how to create the character body...i've found the joan of arc one and another, but they are still a tad complex, can anyone recommend any decent ones that a beginner can understand?
EDIT, Nevermind, got some
Complete noob question so sorry bout this :) I want to create and animate a character using max and character studio...i have used max before (still learning it) but not character studio. I have been told to create the model in character studio and edit it in max, but i can't actually find...
The second one had a good first part as the original director did it, but he died half way through filming and his son took over and directed the boring, crap second half
Oldboy is ok, Sideways is really really good, i thought a movie about wine tasting couldn't be funny but it is, very much recommended, a good purchase for you that was.
I don't listen to reviews normally if there are good AND bad ones, but if everyone is saying how bad a movie sucks i'm not gonna waste my time going cinema to see it, i'll wait for it to come on Sky
Man i was so looking forward to this film, but it has been totally blasted by critics, i haven't seen a decent review score for it so far. Apparantly it's done the impossible and turned out to be worse than 'Swept Away'. Completely disappointing, i was hoping it was a return to Ritchie's Lock...
