If you dont care then just dont vote.:) And are you kidding?? the new way takes up MUCH more space.
Maybe we can have an option to set it either way?
yes! exactly!
I started a thread about it here and decided i wanted to start a poll to see what the majority thinks of this. Nothing serious...basically i like it better when our profiles are to the left, NOT above our posts. Maybe i'm just so used to it because that's how it's always been but i truly think...
I dont like it.
Especially because the Join date and post count information is WAY over to the right.
I think i like it better with all the info together at the left.
maybe i should start a poll.
You cant really compare AMD & Intel CPUs by clock speed. It's pretty normal for your OC'd 2800+ to be scoring close (or above) the P4 2.8c's and 3.0's. Also, i believe the 3dmark tests rely more on your video card than your CPU.

If this has already been discussed i'm sorry, i took a quick glance at the thread titles and didnt seeing anything relating to my question. Which is...i was wondering if whoever is in charge of setting up the forum's layout plans to put our profiles back to the left of our posts rather than...
DDR 184pin memory is pretty standard anyways. And as for getting the best performance for the least amount of money...well it all depends on what games you're planning to play on this PC, what detail settings and resolution you expect to play them at, and what your budget is.
Thanks for the informative post Asus.:) I just recently started researching this and i dont know everything about it all yet (i hope to get a Athlon 64 based system for my next upgrade).
yes, but my point was that right now i hear it's the required RAM for these types of setups and it's more expensive.
Once the socket 939 boards are around it will be different. Also everything's probably still buggy, it's safer to wait a while.
Yeah i know this.
Then he has to look for a 2500+ with a certain stepping code. Some stores should stil have some in stock. It's on the label on the actual chip and should be on the box too. Unfortunately i'm not sure what the stepping code for the 2500+ chips before week 37 are.
I know they're rediculously expensive right now, but shouldnt we be waiting for the Athlon 64 FX chips? I hear they're much better for gaming. If this is true i wont be wasting my money on the regular Athlon 64s...i'll be saving for the better FX chip.
I'd get the CPU "OEM" (buying OEM saves some money and opens up a few more options for picking exactly what you want with no filler). But they'll be no manufacturer's warranty so make sure it has atleast a 30 day warranty with wherever you buy it from. Then you can get a good fan seperate...
Well if you were running an AMD chip in it before then yes that means it's an AMD bopard, the new AMD chip will run in it also. Unless of course it's old and only supports up to a certain MHz CPU. Check your motherboard's manual.
