I seems to be having problems with poly counts.... my models are weighing in at way many more polies than they should be. Here's an example:
Over 1400 for this part alone. WTF is going on?
No offence but I really see no reason why anyone would join this mod, because
A) You are the only person on the "team", and you don't have a modding skill
B) No media and
C) This is a CS clone with nothing original.

I'm having a lot of problems concerning polycounts. I model the most basic things and I get really high polycounts. I will post wireframes soon so hopefully people can help me out.
Okay, sorry to bump this thread, but we are still recuiting. The Mod has been renamed to Broken Arrow and we have plently more staff. You can expect a website launch soon but we need a couple more members to help with the first media update.

It's an awesome program, although I suggest you download the trial of 3DS Max as well. Usually weapon modellers are very comfortable with one of these two. Me, I love XSI and think it beats Max hands down. The only thing I prefer about Max is the rendering and the ability to import and export to...
If you didn't understand crackhead, you should select all the parts, go down to [edit] (bottom right), then click duplicate/instantiate (or whatever :p) and then duplicate symmetry. A box should pop-up but leave the default settings. Then you should have the new leg selected so use the move tool...
I use XSI a lot and I've recently started playing around with Max, and I've gotta say I'm having a lot of trouble. I don't find the navigation as easy, and I'm not sure what I'm actually meant to be doing. Rotoscopy seems a bit strange and the moving a scale tools seem much harder. but anyway...
Sorry, I was in a rush yesterday when typing that, and forgot to mention. Our team merged with another Vietnam War mod team and have come up with awesome new gameplay ideas and features. Ignore the old weapons and aircraft list, that has been totally redone.
