errr, looks like youre relying a bit too much on meshsmooth there mate. thats the trick with low poly models, sticking to the limit, but at the same time getting the detail in. mind you, HL2 car models cant really be classed as low poly, being 8-10k :p
just curious Ichi, have you thought...
lol craig, i started a new one :p i didnt realise it was you. yeah, the new ones high poly, and might be put into HL2. havnt worked on it for a while, cause ive been going on holiday a lot for some reason. ill get back to it, cause it looking pretty darn nice :D
hey, these are my three. ive got another which is pretty good, but cant be arsed to go get a screen of it right now.
i made the fist from scratch, and used a reference/old PS file to make the policevan stencil.
tell me what you think :D
no, you can do smooth group whenever, i think. sometimes it helps to change them after the model is skinned, to get the best look. i might just do a tutorial anyways, a bit of teaching never hurt anyone :p
hmmm, this makes me think i should create a tutorial, seeing as ive been doing some unwrapping recently. i dont understand why people find it so hard to grasp. it seems kinda logical to me.
yeah, it looks amazing dude, and its a bargain at 1700. one thing i noticed, is the shape of her shin ( no, not chin ), its way too flat, needs to be slightly curved. plus, all the rows of your cylinders are very horizontal. i think youd be able to decrease the amount of polies and maybe get a...
hey, ive made my spray just as you said, but when i tested it ingame, there was a solid grey background, even though i had used an alpha channel. i opened the .tga file, to find that the alpha channel was gone. im guessing its something to do with my version of PS.
trinity, i agree with Bill. its pretty basic, and i know you said you like basic maps, but a room with nothing but a desk, some glass and a crazy diamond hovering thing is taking it a litte far. plus, you could use a different texture for the walls and floor. and maybe vary the lighting to make...
ahaha, i thought so, youre the 'pr*ck' who was moaning earlier about all the models around here being guns. oh well, looks like you failed miserably on the character modelling front. maybe now youll go back to modelling guns...or possibly garden furniture if you dont like guns.
oh yeah, to...
$500 isnt that amazing. my Max 6 student version ( full thing, but bombs out after 2 years...which is a long time ) cost £90. i dunno, thats kinda irrelevant but hey, ive written it now.
about liking XSI, i tried it, but really didnt like it at all, im sticking with Max. i wouldnt go as far...
wargh !
dude, your proportions are all wrong. the sight at the fron is oh so mahoosive ! and the holes in the rear sight are too big too. the guns a bit thin as well.
