    Actually I think one of the severed zombies looses it's headcrab. You can hear it attack you, and the effect it has on health. The you see it dead when the player shoots the barrel. Probably jumped into the blades or something. of course, it could perfectly be just some headcrab that had...

    AA blurs out the edges of objects, eliminating, to a degree, the jagged lines you get at lower resolutions. lol, too slow.

    Well, Freeman does sport a nice bright orange suit, hard not to spot something like that walking around some dull prison.

    The OpFor zombies weren't that hard, just one good swing with the wrench, and hello gibs! I personally think the wrench was way overpowered, I killed 3/4 of the aliens with that, including shocktroopers.

    Well, there was quite a big fight just some rooms away, soldiers firing, glass breaking, weird noises, screams, silence... kind of makes you pay a bit more attention.

    If they're not part of the enemy, then why does the voice (nihlanth or something like that) in Half-life get so pissed when you kill that big ugly headcrab factory?

    This is how I imagine iw would be: Portal from wherever opens, hundreds or thousands of headcrabs invade the place, take control of everything they can in a selected area and then just kill whatever they find. The deaths and the pure freaking-out caused by the headcrabs would probably soften...

    Shadows, compared to Splinter Cell for example

    Anyone here ever played "blade: edge of darkness" (severence)? Now that game had really good shadows, better than doom3's IMO.

    There's a lot of money to be made with a flying hamster, or at least enough to buy HL2.
