I can almost guarantee you that it will be longer than 16 days. 16 days is if everything goes absolutely perfect. It will probably be 1-2 weeks longer than that. So more like 23-30 days IMHO.

RC is a good word in engineering. I work in engineering and when we say we are getting ready to make a Release Candidate, it means that we are pretty damn sure that we fixed all of the bugs(that we know of) and we are going to give it one last test(in our company, it is about a week, who knows...

hmmm, maybe I'm missing the official trailer then? I know about the 9 or so videos from E3. I also know Valve released some of those videos "officially". Is there something else I am missing?

I kind of figured it was old but I've been to that ebgames page before and never saw 3 of those screenshots. But just in case it wasn't old, I had to post :)

It's on the half life 2 order page, in the middle. Some screenshots are old but there are 3 or so that I have never seen(but I don't look as hard as some of you).

This isn't old news. It might have been speculated before as a rumour, but the article he poasted it in is a new article just release within the last hour.
