When I try compiling, I get an error that says:
I tried running "Reset SDK Content", then running Hammer and saving the map again, but it still caused the error. Then I tried "Reset game Configurations" after looking it up online (and not finding good results), but it still did it.
Any ideas...
And if I do, will my account get instantly banned?
There's a good chance that someone will boot up Steam while I'm working on my map... unless there's a way to run Hammer offline.
Simple question: If I use my Steam Account on another computer, will I get banned from Steam? I remember Valve banned like 25,000 people when HL2 first came out, due to disk copies, but I was never sure how they determined which copies were pirated and which were legit, which worries me when...
Or, does anyone know of a console command to disable decals/overlays?
Something along the lines of r_decals or r_projectors or something... which would be even easier.
Those don't look like lightmap issues. Terrain doesn't have traditional BSP-style lighting - instead, each vertex has it's own lighting info, which blends to the next vertex, with a blurry result.
They look like decals or some other form of texture projections. I'm guessing that you might...
That's what I meant to say; that the hint brushes are there to stop the splits from reaching out further.
What I don't understand is if a mega-sized hint brush running through multiple zones is a good idea or not.
Imagine if there was a 1-mile long hallway, with a doorway and an empty room...
My map has some strange optimization problems, such as the other side of the map rendering when it shouldn't be visible.
I have a few Hint brushes that are very, very large, and cover the floor/ceiling of about 80% of the map, in order to prevent unnecessary BSP subdivision. When I took a look...
Ah, I also discovered Radmin for remote desktop connection (lets you use your home or work computer from another computer, over the internet or network). Seems very simple, too.

Man... so many options, but so hard to find the "perfect" one, that...
I kind of forgot part of the original reason I was asking for a drawing app...
Does anyone know of an app that lets you draw on other people's *desktop*?
I found this one:
http://www.gold-software.com/download9235.html ...and I'm going to try it when I get back. But, does anyone know of a...
Yeah. It's a somewhat lengthy compared to just using MSN, but it looks and works a lot better.
By the way, you can ignore people by clicking on their name, and you wont see them draw anymore. :)
Yeah, that's it! Cool, thanks :afro:
Time to get drawing... if the people in the public rooms will stop drawing swastikas and purposely covering everyone's drawings. ;)
Attention
After some discussion, some seem to think that "swept under the rug" means the same as "kill" [faints]. I'm referring to TV, and public displays... I'm not talking about the people. My entire post is referring to the issue itself, not the people. I was saying, "Sweeping the public...
ROFL @ Comic#32, first one I read... hilarious.
Anyway, everything has been said already, and I don't feel like wasting the time it takes to bat down these down... It's very rapidly leaving the heart of the matter, and floating up into details and things we've already said.
However, if you...
-1 pair of statisics can not be taken a trend.
Then what are statistics for? ...And, do you think the rate is gonna go down?
-Congradulations, you proved it happens once. Based on your logic all women with blonde hair have 3 children as my mother, who has blonde hair, has 3 children.

-Your maths fail to present any indication of an increasing trend.
1990: 2.8%
2000: 9.7%
= an increasing trend.
-You have failed to demonstrate even an anecdotal example of a child turning gay automatically because his/her parents are.
My aunt is homosexual. Her lesbian partner has two...
