and maskirovka is right, it was written in such a way that its obvious they benchmarked hl2, but you couldn't prove it from their statements.

"affect" is a verb, "Does this affect you?"
"effect" is a noun, "HL2 has cool effects."
however, there is some weirdness:
you would say "x is effecting y" not the other way. "affecting" is not a word.
also, "effects" is the same as "affects", when used...
halflife2.net is run entirely out of munro's pocket, hosted by homelan. The only ad is gameplay, because they have that sweet hl2 deal. so this doesn't really matter.
