For some reason, possibly because of a linked file, the last thread relating to this was closed. Continue discussion of the memory problem here and try and keep solutions coming. Maybe it's only a matter of time before someone stumbles across a solution that will work for everyone.

Whatever the problem is lets just hope that Valve hurry their arses up and fix the goddamn problem. It is seriously so disapointing to get so worked up by promises of a great game only to find out it doesn't work.

Do we even know that another patch is coming? While the last patch helped with some people's stuttering problems it seems to have made the memory problem worse. At least in my case anyway. I've emailed Valve asking about their progress but no reply.

OK, this is all well and good but I and others like me who have no technical finesse when it comes to computer hardware have a tough time understanding that without some kind of idiot proof guide to changing settings. Any help?
