well, yes, but then again, its also talking about a well regulated militia:

But I digress. Actually, I have to admit, re-reading your comments to mine, I am not sure where you...
no, i meant this:
Its talking about the right of the people of the militia. I know its splitting hairs. I really dont give a damn about it, I love guns, and I think the 2nd amendment has been interpreted just fine. I'm just saying that if your gonna use the context argument to change/repeal...
So, we should be just like every other country?
edit: lol at context of other amendments, what about the 2nd amendment? It really just (technically) applies to militias, but I dont give a damn about that.
Well, then let me introduce you to the Arizona senator that supports the repeal of the 14th amendment: Jon Kyl
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=j4PsI2h6a9o
granted he may not want to totally repeal the amendment, but you can be damned sure he would like to it be "fixed" so that the children born...
Well, glad to see you support the 1st and 2nd amendment. But please, can you explain to me why many, many people (mostly conservatives) want to remove/rework the 14th amendment? I mean, is the 2nd amendment holier than the 14th? Because it sure comes across that way (I dont mean you personally...
I think I laughed more during this episode than any other this season. Definitely my second favorite of the season so far (the time traveling one is my favorite).
I know many of you here aren't anime fans, but the few of you who might care: Satoshi Kon, one of the great anime directors, died today at the age of 47 (the reason why hasn't been published to my knowledge). He is the reason I go into anime. I remember when I first saw Perfect Blue... It took...
ah sorry. Misunderstood you. I didn't recognize any of the actors, even after looking at their imdb pages. Guess I don't watch enough tv/movies.
For the record, I love Mortal Kombat. Yes its very campy, but I still love it. But yeah, besides that film (and Event Horizon), Paul W. S. Anderson...
Just because the movie isn't filled with A-listers doesn't automatically mean it will be bad. District 9 was a great film, and its main (human) star, Sharlto Copley, hardly had acted in films previously. I'm not saying that Skyline will be great, but I think its wrong to judge a film solely on...
I was thinking the same thing. Really laughed at Fry's and Leela's dinner. This episode, while very random, felt like the older episodes. I liked it a lot.
I saw the Flinstones movie in the theaters when I was 11. I loved it. Didn't see it again until a couple years ago and realized its pretty bad. It did do a good job visually, all the costumes and characters and environments were spot on. Not the worst I've seen, but still pretty bad.
Scott Pilgrim vs The World 8/10
Bad Hat said it best:
I went into this movie not knowing a whole lot. I had seen the trailer once, and the TV spots a couple times. I probably would have passed, but seeing how I loved Edgar Wright's Shaun of the Dead and Hot Fuzz, I couldn't resist. It really...
I actually liked this episode a lot, but I guess thats because I used to be a creationist. Granted, as kryn said, it was based on politcal commentary. But the creationism/evolution debate has been going on since Darwins day, so I didn't think it was that bad.
