there is a real coop mode, you can work through hte single player of the whole game if you choose to. the map starts out with portals to each of the different levels (office complex, we've got hostiles, surface tension) and so on so you can pick what point in the game you wanna start at.

how about the combine thought police get to gordon freeman and the don't kill him, but convert him. in the end he's sipping victory gin in the chestnut tree cafe watching the telescreen and knowing he loves BIG BROTHER!

i really hated the crosbow in half life because it had the delayed hit. a sniper rifle would be awesome if you were in the really big open areas and there were enemy snipers. personally i loved it in MOHAA where you were in that sniper townand you had sniper wars. abusing the sniper rifle and...

awww crap, i thought you meant mp3's, i clicked no :P i'd listen it with mp3s when i'd be playing it like the 5th time, other wise the half life music is excellent, didn't work very well in half life 1, wasn't enough of it, but hl2 should be packed with suspense music

mark laidlaw may be a person who can make up cool sci-fi ideas, but probably isn't the best writer, so any book in this case would probably written pretty averagely

i hope they'll be harder to see, they were too easy to spot in hl1

i didn't like the mp5 in hl1, it should have had a 30 round magazine and a grenade launcher tha you had to reload. the realism is good, but i guess if it were like that it would be too boring, having to constantly reload and reload and reload. i guess i'm only talking from a counter-strike...

he's definately wearing a helmet because obviously he can't swim through toxic stuff with out it, and in hl2 there will be the zoom function implemented into the helmet, thus proving he's a girl and has to wear a safety helmet cuz mummy said so

probably walk right through it, otherwise you'd trip over :P

as for combine not fighting alongside the striders, striders don't need any reinforcements, and to further back that up, in the trailer, there's the combine, with their barrier, and behind it the strider strolling, not opening fire on the combine, or yourself :P
