I can understand not wanting wind turbines in a residential area, they makes heaps of noise and don't produce much power due to shitty windflow in built up areas.

In my experience this is always a cop out. People use it when they're out of arguments but can't admit defeat. If someone really does believe that there are others with differing opinions, and they're not an idiot, they will cite those opinions not just mention them in passing.

I can actually see this as being a good thing. It will allow tv shows and movies to be accessed legitimately over the net like music is now. On the other hand if every tool starts renting out their crap movies and I have to wade through them to find videos I want to watch it will kill the site.
