    Willdo follows up...

Unfortunately, I think Gabe is not going to allow anymore visits to Valve anymore after this encounter.

    Willdo follows up...

So now we have a new era of the silent treatment. It's called the "Gordon Treatment"! Fear it's evil and unsurpased powers to suppress even the most difficult, insignificant, absurd and inane questions any fanatic fanboy could ever throw!

    Willdo follows up...

Where did he ask Gabe these questions? In real life face to face, or through email? If it is face to face, what exactly does he mean by saying that Gabe 'Didn't anwser', after asking a question? What did Gabe do, just stand there blank faced, as Willdo moved on to the next question?

    HL2 not so hot....

It's not released yet, so there's nothing missed yet either. Watch, once it is released there will be an explosion. Everyone will know about it, and we will be too buzy playing the game to even care.

    Nvidia and Gabe.......

How does you not seeing a difference with your bare eyes, constitute saying that in short, there's no technical reason to abandon OpenGL?

    HL2 not so hot....

Um.. all those people lied. You know how many times I catch people ingame talking about HL2, and then others join in the converstation pretending they don't know what HL2 is? It's is apparent with the silly replies they give that make it quite obvious that they are pulling peoples legs. Also...

HL2:Multiplayer (The big secret all this time was that it did not exist?)

How about a mode where you have 2 teams, with 5 mins to build your own base before battle. Using various blocks, ramps, and other prefabs with the manipulator, and if there is something heavy you want to use, you need multiple people to lift it with each of their manipulators. Then the round...

HL2:Multiplayer (The big secret all this time was that it did not exist?)

Ohhhhhhhhhh.... No wonder! HL:Source is not HL2... lol.. Ok now I get it, so it was a mistake after all, atleast a mistake on my part. So HL2 might (IT BETTER) have multiplayer still, but the question was asking if the port version of Half-Life original will be included with HL2. Thanks.

HL2:Multiplayer (The big secret all this time was that it did not exist?)

For the longest time, since the begining, Valve cept their mouths shut when approached with any questions on what Half-Life 2 multiplayer would be like. All interviews that asked about it recieved 'no comment' and responses that more info about it would be released nearer the games release. Then...

    OpenGL or Direct3D ?

Actualy even if you use OpenGL you will need to use DirectX also. OpenGL is only a graphics API, it does not come with an API for getting user input, playing back audio, networking or any of the other vital features that DirectX supplies as standard. Most games who's graphics are written...

Info received from Valve ONLY - NO questions/discussion

I had a great idea, so I emailed Valve about it and got a response the next day. Valve's Rick Ellis responces in BOLD. Subject: RE: An innovative idea I have for HL2. Date: Wed, 21 Jan 2004 15:52:50 -0800 From: "Rick Ellis" To: *********@yahoo.com Hi Adam, See my comments below...

What is the collision detection in halflife1?

It's a little early to worry about such technical situations without full details in the area you are disecting. For instance, you assume that Source does not equaly scale it's collision detection along with any ajustments made to the scale of units within maps. Perhaps that would have been a...

    Long time no see...

Welcome back. But this post is in the wrong section. And if you were gone that long, those people who messaged you when the source was stolen would have gotten a hold of it by now you would think. Also now that you posted this, you will have the newer users wondering about the source and wanting...
