If you're going on what was said in that book then you contradict yourself because there would be someone ahead of you in a parallel universe too.. On top of that, if you couldn't go forward then going back means you'd stay there as you couldn't return to the present.

From my own point of view I could type up a book on the relationship between Halflif2.net and HalfLifeSource/Radio. A tale of arguments, plain stupidity, wrongdoings, twofacedness and humiliation ( both sides have been to blame at one point or another ). Alas as much as I'm tempted to do so...

It's that's the one I think it is then there's a valid story behind that which no one outside the halflife2.net team knows about. Needless to say, and probably the most I can divulge, is that it was a joke played on other staff members which accidently got forwarded outside the team.
