You know something. The quietness of Valve is because it's probably not delayed. My guess in this point in time is it will be delayed at retailers by a week and released on Steam on time. Gabe would apologise for false information and give a reason and we will forgive him. :)

If you are loaded with money and can afford it why not get $9.95 suscription when HL2 first comes out. Then just get the retail later maybe... might be a option but a bit of a waste of money...
