Yeah that cut-scene varies as does the ending. I'm sure you got the sisters saying "he's the bad man" and "he's the one who hurts us"? If you've rescued all of them to that point you get "he's the one who helps us", etc.
Something else I didn't notice the first play through was this...
Game was a blast. I know there's a ton of harvest/rescue vids out there, but I was putting together some clips to show the game to some friends and harvested a little sister that came out kind of cool. In an area where those spotlights follow you so the lighting just made it extra creepy...
I basically use toxik's guide, few things different. I use megui, the x264 only version, and leave everything default except what's circled in red.
Use FAAC to encode the audio and mux with mp4box. Never had any luck with the newer versions of megui, the ones that encode/mux all in one...
Just copying/pasting this at cs:s/hl2 sites, so if you've seen it elsewhere you can disregard it...
So I've been wanting to get a particular nade round in to a proper movie but just don't have the time, so instead you get this.
x264-mp4 - 70 mb - High system specs only
xvid-AVI - 92 mb...

Funny stuff. I dl'd from Filefront and didn't have problems. If need be I'll upload my part 2 somewhere since it's not corrupt. Just let me know.
if the link's dead it's probably for the best. fixed some of them and added a couple latest thingies (make sure and refresh the page). any particular one you're referring to?
Pretty nifty, eh? Saves you a lot of uploading time, as well.
Awesome tip on the text part. I'd been trying to make a stamped look and after diddling with the bevel and emboss forever finally came up with this.

But by the time I was done I...
Depends. I've seen a few tut's where they resized to 800x600 (still looked ok) and used 11025khz mono. Used a bitrate of like 100 so it was around 1mb per minute and looked good and sounded "ok", but it's just voice so...
The tutorial above I used 165 bitrate, and I believe 48kbit, 22050hz...
Bure and check this out before you make your next tut.
use 5 fps
don't be a spaz with the mouse
compress the audio
Use a lower res if possible. If not you can resize it if you're using Camtasia Studio when you export it. You'll lose some quality but it's not that bad. Just make sure...
And at least 2 shots with one character walking past another character while looking over their shoulder at them with a "something is amiss" look on their face...in slow motion, of course.

I realize there are already overviews done for some of these like mill and fire, but I added the ones I did for those who don't have one.

No idea why some of the textures repeat and others don't, seeing as how I made each one the exact...
Nah, I did the last one, Boomstick, on google video and they really just butcher it. And to use putfile or something where they maintain most of the quality, by the time it's done buffering to start streaming you'd have downloaded it already.
I may try Youtube and see if they do any better...
Well as you probably know some of those clips were really, really old. Some of them were even recorded and converted on a ti4400. And performance in Source while recording has never been that great, and now it seems even worse than ever before, even tho I have a better card now (barely...
