Hmmm, well its thats true than I was wrong, cause that would make two obvius games that had everything. Guess we'll see. Are benchmarks usually playable or just a vid that runs off the video card? Probably a dumb question that I could find the answer to huh?
Aww crap, did not mean to start a doom3 / hl2 debate. I guess it does have to do with the syncing of the gun sounds and animation. You're right the pistol does seem to do it well.
I am not at all criticizing. Again, I haven't played it and I trust Valve. I have asked Gabe a time or two by email, but I know the guy is too busy at this point.
I just hate to shoot a guy and have him not respond a whole lot and just shoot me a second later. I mean just shot him ...
If anyone's interested in helping me...in other words, all I can do is think of good ideas and draw.
1) Macgyver Mod: Some how a mod where you have a planning phase of setting traps for the enemy and then play against each other either trying to get through the trapped filled levels alone or...
Any idea what the effect of shooting a baddy will be? Some games make shooting feel so real and some its like shooting a pea shooter, ya know?
I know there's ragdoll physics and all, but I'm wondering if the baddy will repsond more when shot than just a canned animation and a blood spurt...
I have a p3 750, 256 ram, 128mb ATI 9000.
Okay, all I know about computers is that I want to play Halflife2.
So should I be able to play it alright and what should I upgrade first?
See, I have no clue what each part of the PC does for games.
Yeah, I know, I'm a moron.
I just read on Bluesnews.com that the HL2 benchmark might be released soon. If I knew what a benchmark was, I might have reason to be thrilled, but I know you little computer guys out there know what this means.
Ya know, if there's a delay for HL2, it wouldn't mean the end of the world for the PR side of Valve's interests, but after hearing a definite Spetember 30th release it wouldn't help. Regardless, the Valve guys have been so patient and plain cool to respond to all of our giddy emails and...
Okay, don't jump for posting what may be elsewhere on the forum -although I never saw it answered.
I like for my shoot em ups to have weapons with "meat" to them. You know what I mean? I like for a 12 gauge to feel like a 12 guage (or 10 gauge for that matter) How is this effect...
