This was funny but the guy is full of crap. :upstare:
So far, as far as I can remember, the only program I've had crash consistently on me is IE for Macintosh.
What I find amusing is how much the people who say EB said it was delayed get flamed, but someone saying they saw a "coming soon" box doesn't. :upstare:
Lies. I'm not saying I would take one over my PC, but they are a reliable graphics and print development platform, not to mention what you can do with them now that they are FreeBSD based.
Actually, I like the Mac I have at work... it runs well, and now that it's FreeBSD based I can do a lot of my testing before transferring it to our remote server right there instead of having an extra box setup. It's sure as hell a lot prettier than anything I've seen on XF86.
But anyway...
They had said time after time that they were going to make a secure character vault... so you could make your character and then check it into the vault when you left a server, it would validate things etc. Basically it would prevent people from cheating and let people use one character across...
Neverwinter Nights was the last one... DAMN THEM FOR NOT MAKING THE CHARACTER VAULT. It ruined it all. The editor was fun, though.
Black and White before that. I loved that entire game except for the micromanagement of the villages... I don't like micromanaging things.
Maybe so... but PC games are a bit different than console games. Console games have a much larger group of potential consumers to target. These consumers aren't necessarily technically oriented, and might not even have a computer.
They haven't advertised or talked about the game... and look what it's done. Most Half-Life fans are frothing at the mouth for any tidbit of information. I don't see how something is wrong.
Even if they're not doing it on purpose this is getting them tons of anticipation.
