Well the problem with big maps is that they are only fun to play in publics with lots of people on one server. They arent really suitable for clan play.
Cause it either gets very boring when you have to look for mins to find your enemy on the big map. Or you have to have 20 vs 20 matches...
That isnt so hard to figure out. For console games they only need to implent a splitscreen options. Which is much easier to make then a network code suitable for co-op :x
Upgrade to a geforce 6600 GT when its out, it will probally be the best budget videocard.
I've heard it will perform as good as a Radeon 9800 XT , and it will cost around $199.
Devastation which was released before HL 2 was out had a physics system too, tho it worked poorly online.
And how do you know it took 5 years to make ? Its the havok physics engine. Not something Valve created. They just improved it.
Don't use it, probally cause im more of an online gamer. And when im fragging I dont watch the scenery, I just want good FPS and be able to see the enemy models good.
I think we'll see some topics from people telling that HL 2 isnt as good as they expected it to be. Cause some people really expect too much of the game.
Cause if you expect the game will blow you away there is a big chance you'll end up dissapointed.
