I've seen a lot of guides online for DVD flick. Although I have not used it.
Going from AVi to MPG2 you will get larger file sizes. So if 10 AVIs look like they would fit on a DVD, converting them to MPG2 so they play in a DVD player you may end up with only 2-6 episodes fitting.
I use TMPGEnc...
You can create a plain shortcut to the item and change that icon but the jump list feature also pops up on the taskbar for itunes.
Just did a google search and there is a program to make your own jump lists. I'm not sure if you can do the same thing iTunes has going with the playlists etc. But...
I selected the 9550 CPU and 4850 and got 210watts using that calc...
Don't select "4 physical CPUs" as that means 4x of whatever CPU you selected (4x9550's or 16 cores). To select a single quad core CPU just do "1 physical CPU" and the model (9550).
If you have an PSU with low amps on the +12v (old style) then 400 is definitely not enough. If it's a unit with a low +5v and +3.3v and high +12v then 400 will work depending on the hardware. A 450w would be more flexible like adding extra HDDs or having a higher power GPU.
But those wouldn't be...
Could just be a graphics driver issue. You see, ATI and Nvidia are for gaming and they update and maintain their drivers based on how they run each game. If a new game renders weird with current Nvidia drivers they know about it and will have it fixed in a new update. Intel probably doesn't...
I know you say you've tried using just the back USB but do you have the front USB ports plugged into the motherboard at all? Could those wires be off set on the row of pins on the board?
Drives and such do spin up at boot and cause a spike in power but you say you don't have as many as you once...
Back in the day it was Intel's boards that shut the PC down. AMD didn't make the boards their CPUs ran on and only some brands include that kind of monitoring for AMD. But those days are long gone. All boards do this now.

50c for idle is a little high. Only going up 12-18c for load is actually good (except for the fact that it happens to be close to 70c). Also, it is not uncommon for temps to be high for rendering compared to say gaming (not really a full load). TBH the PC would...
You should be able to set which drives to scan (C:, D:, E: etc) with the software. Just find one that does it on reboot. It would do it before windows boots.
Also, the virus might just be looking for that windows install if it installed itself into the registry so you probably could format C...
Format would work unless it is in the master boot record or something. Maybe a tool that clears the MBR and writes zeros to the drive.
Can you clarify this? You are only using your C drive but the plug-in drive has the virus? Do you have windows on that one instead?
Your AV probably has a boot...
Review of your CPU. Check out the 2nd picture on the page.
Although the DMI bus (cpu to chipset communication) could be limiting depending on your situation. Like dual GPUs with some boards or SATA 6Gb/s.
PCI Express 2.0 cards are not expensive because they are 2.0 vs 1.0.
And 2.0 cards (like the 4850) do not perform faster on 2.0 slots. Meaning they are not bottlenecked or show any kind of noticeable improvement. They have more bandwidth available to them but it goes unused for the most part...
It's not a big deal if a router doesn't have a switch. That just means the extra ports are a hub. The only time a router is just a router is when it only has 2 ports (1 to PC and 1 to modem).
A switch and hub are basically the same thing except one is more efficient. But that shouldn't cause a...
Some audio control panels for sound cards have an option to invert the channels but I don't think plain windows does.
Could buy an extension cable.
There is software that also has an option to invert left and right channels but I've only seen it for media play back like in Winamp or something...
If you have a huge drive and won't be using it all for apps/files you need fast access to then another thing you can do is partition it to half or less. The first partition will be on the outside of the disk and much quicker access and improve min. transfer speed (not as much for avg or max...
From reading around I would be careful saying "The PS3 is 100% region free". First, because the console itself is not region free. Put in a PS1 or PS2 game and you are locked. I think all PS3 games can be played in other regions (I don't know of any but devs and publishers can lock their disk if...
I just bought Win7 Pro upgrade. Installed it on itself (without activating it the first time, you have 30 days) and it thought it was an upgrade. That means I didn't have to buy the full. But I also bought it back in July when it was 1/2 off.
And as far as Virtual OSs, they can be 32 or 64bit...
XP mode is just a virtual server running XP. Something that is not new exactly but MS has included it for Win7 Pro and you don't pay for the XP license.
Random idea. If you have a 2nd DVI spot try plugging your monitor into that.
I wonder if it's just a driver issue with current ATI drivers.
Doing a search it seems a lot of people are having issues like this. Both CRT and LCD.
edit: what about powerstrip?
