It could also be a power supply issue. But if the PC is brand new I wouldnt be too worried about that. If you are familiar enough with hardware to try your other PC's power supply I'd reccomend at least trying that. Also, when you re-install windows are you actually formatting the hard drive...
I'd also suggest that if they tell you "no" rather than just leave ask them if theres a better time to come back, or if you could schedule an appointment. And if you have one I'd bring a tape-recorder, just in case you get to ask some questions. Good luck!
And I forgot to add a hard drive and it's been over 15 minutes so heres a hard drive:
Samsung 120gb: 94
(The 120gb was only 20 bucks more so I figure why not?)
New total:
592.99
Alrighty: These prices are all based on Newegg.com. You'll probably be able to find an even better deal using pricewatch but I doubt you'll be able to find it all from the same store.
Asus A7N8X: 94.99
AMD Athlon XP Barton 2500+: 85.00
ATI Radeon 9600 Pro (128): 174.00
Kingston 512mb...
I wouldn't say that for certain. They could just be releasing the benchmark then for the people that don't get the game the first day it's out. They probably realize that all of us geeks are gonna get it regardless of whether or not we can play it with all the settings maxed out. I've got a...
Win2k and Winxp are wishy washy when it comes to whether or not you need to reformat after you replace the motherboard. Most of the time you do. I've done tons of various motherboard upgrades (probably somewhere between one and two hundred.) and I've only had it work twice. But even if it does...
Exactly commando, I miss that feeling so much. These days I know everything there is to know about a game when it comes out, except for maybe the story. But with HL2 I've got a bajillion questions. What weapons will I find? Who will I face? Who the hell is the administrator? What happens if...
Actually, I believe with a hub it still sends the signal to every port so with a 4 port hub the 100mb is split 4 ways.
Along with the speed boost of a router you also get security because the router takes the ip address from the cable company rather than your computer. It also has firewall...
One is made by PowerColor and the other made by Saphire. (I don't think that really makes a difference) And it's probably cheaper than the 9700 Pro because it's non-pro. Although I haven't seen any benchmarks comparing the 9700Pro to the 9800 Non-Pro but you may want to search for some before...
I remember seeing benchmarks for gaming when XP first game out and basically it went like this:
(fastest to slowest)
1)Win98 SE
2)Windows XP
3)Windows 2k
Hello, I'm completly and totally lost on how to go about getting that 2d texture out of XSI so I can model it. I know how to apply a texture protection and a texture in the engine but now how to get it out of the XSI software and game-ready. Could anyone here tell me how to do this? Or link me...
