I did. :naughty::naughty:
Philip K Dick remains one of my favorites, although I'd actually cite Minority Report as one of those rare instances where the movie is better. The short-story is interesting, but I liked the ideas more than the execution, which is not uncommon for much of Dick's work.
Hah, I loved Minority Report more than most people, but you'd have to give Blade Runner the nod just for shear influence on the genre. It can be a difficult to watch movie, but it's still an important movie.
Also, I didn't even think of The Life Aquatic, but that would certainly be in my...
I gave the first one a really fair shake, and played a lot of it, but it still ranks as the only recent game to frustrate me so much that I quit playing it and never finished. I finished Black Site for God's sake, but Lost Planet just threw too many frustrating bits at me.
That said, I'm...
I think it had just the right mix of critical acclaim and serious drama. This was a fantastic year for what some people refer to as "genre movies" with the Dark Knight, Wall-E, etc. But, there weren't so many out-of-the-park successes in serious drama, which is very often where the Academy...
I still think that they produce a good episode here and there, but the low points are so low that I've stopped watching regularly. My friends and I are those annoying sort of people who can communicate using only Simpsons quotes, but even we started watching a new episode recently and just sat...
In all honesty if I read the script for Pulp Fiction (or any other Tarantino movie that I've liked) I would probably just be perplexed and kind of curious what his drug of choice is.
For the record, that was not intended as a personal attack, but as an attack against what I think is a ridiculous argument. But Kadayi is correct in that I've given my two cents, and I'll leave it at that.
(Also I really don't think the comparison between someone serving in a war and dying in...
Man, my grandparents also served during that war, and I still think you're full of it. Making broad philosophical, artistic, and moralistic conclusions without having seen a film isn't valid criticism. It's just inviting an argument.
My favorite of the new season is still the MTV-style news when all the smart people get abducted:

Yeah, I think Kadayi is missing a part of the equation here. Half the point seems to be that Pitt and his crew are borderline psychopaths, like most of Tarantino's characters. Kelly's Heroes they ain't.
I have to say I was also impressed with this episode. If they can introduce a viable backstory like they're hinting at, this could become something very interesting.
I've seen and heard quite a bit of Sessler outside of G4, and he's actually gained a good amount of my respect. He's not just a talking head, he really knows his stuff.
Goddamn, I don't know how many times I watched The Three Amigos and The Princess Bride when I was little, but it probably cannot be calculated by feeble human computers yet. Also, I was into FernGully when I was little, but don't feel that it holds up as well when you get older.
