I recently made this webpage: Steam Applications Maintenance. You should try validating your Half-Life 2, Counter-Strike Source and Half-Life 2 Deathmatch, maybe that will solve it.

Delete the HalfLife2 font. Control Panel > Fonts. I had the exact same problem and that fixes it :)

I liked Canals, but I was not blown away by it. But I was by Ravenholm. I love to paint them white (by shooting that white paint tin to them) and then throwing a radiator to the dumb undeads :)

That did it. Thanks a lot everyone for the quick and good help! I also found out why my flashlight wasn't working. r_shadows has to be at "1" to let the flashlight work. Everything is ok now :) Now I'm gonna get some sleep. Cheers all!
