I like that Laidlaw wasn't afraid to create a story that forces us to think.

Yeah, the maps look like something made for the original Half-Life.

This could be one of the premier mods for Half-Life 2.

Hope the quality of the final product will live up to the concept artwork.

The screenshots look great, except the edges of the maps are really obvious. They need to do a better job disguising where the maps end.

For all we know, it was included in this latest update and they're simply not advertising it. My guess is the first we'll hear of VAC is when thousands of people get banned for using cheats.

Try shutting down Steam (right-click on the tray icon and select "Exit") then restart it. Sometimes that's enough to kick-start it into downloading the rest.

Why didn't these guys just start with Half-Life: Source and build on top of it? Seems an aweful waste of time to try and recreate the entire game from scratch.

However, Counter Strike: Source does have bot support.

Nah. I think the best bug was the rare one in the original Half-Life where Barney would drop dead before opening the door to train. This infuriated new players because they didn't realize it was a bug and tried to figure out how to get out of the train car on their own!

Cool stuff. That third screenie in the news post (the hallway with the flourscent lights) looks almost photo-realistic! Unfortunately, I don't think my FX5700 will support HDR.

I think I'm one of the few people who loved the ending the first time I saw it. I thought it was perfect. However, the original poster certainly did an excellent job summarizing it one concise paragraph.

It's not impossible, just extremely unlikely. Another possibility is that his account has been compromised by a third party. I know of one instance where someone did not take due diligence in securing his CD key and his roommates copied it and gave it to all their buddies which resulted in...
