booleans are esy to do wrong and extremely difficult to do right. The problem is they usually create a lot of extra faces that make the mesh ugly and problomatic for skinning later. basically if your not sure how to make cut a shape out a mesh with "CUT" then you would not be able to properly...

if your copy is legit e-mail discreet. if you have a pirated version it's probably corrupted. So buy it from discreet and no problems. Also i run 3dsmax 5 on win98 with no problems however Max5.1 requires winXP

the only thing i would add to this is realize that there is going to be 1st and 3rd person weapon models. Valve models are about 2000 polygons in first person so we can assume that 3rd is going to be much lower than that. Of course in BF42 the poly limit was thought to be 1500 at most for...
