I'm certainly going to be pleasantly surprised when I see when and how DOG fights the Strider, what happens afterwards, and how I get to that scene in general. We know what to expect, but just not enough to be spoiled. I'd say the trailers whetted my appetite for Ep2, not diminished it.
But...
Haha, that certainly is true. Maybe they DO think themselves into existence.
"Hmm. Today is a good day. I shall reflect upon myself."
*POP*
"Dammit! I hate it when I think my-selves into existence!"
I'm ex-military (conscript but nonetheless). Yeah, I'd kill if I had to, preferably with a rifle, but anything that comes to hand will work.
Of course I prefer to draw, write, read and play games because it's easier to understand the value of life once you understand how fragile it really is...
Rapidshare hates my guts (as do many other victims), the .ZIP won't fit within the specified file size limit and as I said, the forum doesn't accept .RAR files. Maybe someone could do me the honour?
I did make the suggestion in the suggestion forums but nothing came of it.
Don't even think of...
I had a pet Praying Mantis I caught in my bathroom once. I fed it everything I could catch and it was fascinating watching it stalk and eat the prey. She was freaking huge too. I let her go after a while and a few weeks later the apartment block was crawling with little baby mantids. Guess she...
Mmmmm.... Halo in the Source Engine, now THAT I'd pay to see.
Anyway, back on topic, the headcrabs could always absorb genetic codes on a trial and error basis just to see which would survive, although I'd hate to see the lucky survivors.
I loved killing sentry guns. I used a spy and blew them away with grenades. It helped the team even if I got fragged. =)
Yeah, I never played the original TF, but TFC was great. TF was made using the Quake engine IIRC.
Harpoons are strange weapons. They were never meant to be used against most enemies in the first place. (They screw up the scripting for the ant lion guard fight for one)
Check your key config for the weapon selections. It may be you keyed the weapon category to a key that you hit when you...
Well, we can't tell if a Gonome could actually create that sort of stuff and set up his own lair, but the mushrooms grow everywhere Xen soil is found. I'd agree with Darkside that the Gonome lived there because it was a little piece of Xen that'd teleported in. Maybe it did some redecoration of...
I don't think it's an antimatter rifle. What I meant is that the weapons use energy based projectiles, rather than kinetic physical projectiles. (The Overwatch rifle has a little arm that 'beats' out a pulse for every shot fired. You'll notice the arm beats the back of the energy pack, I take it...
I think any alien force that uses a power-cell as ammo (Overwatch rifle) would definitely have the upper hand. All it takes is one bullet to kill you, even with armour a rifle round can penetrate easily. Imagine a plasma or other energy-based weapon, which the Combine uses insofar as we can...
Let's just stick to what we know and what we can theorise based on conjecture drawn from visible sources, shall we? The thread seems to be well on its way to being hijacked.
P.S - I agree, stop picking up words from the pokemon vocabulary, it's bad.
I was working on the assumption (according to everyone since the dawn of Op4, the expansion to the original HL) that the Gonarch is the final evolved form of the Headcrab since everyone thought the little white critters it pumped out were baby headcrabs.
In Op4, which takes place a little bit...
Yes, but then you'd break your portable chainsaw. =P
So much more satisfying to use it again and again and again... I'd daresay it's more fun than the crowbar! /heresy
