An interview said that HL2 would run at 70fps using a 2gb processor and a Geforce 4 which is what I have so if it's true I have no need to update for a while.
This thread just got alot more serious:
Great, I was doing my routine feel around like the paranoid tecticle feeler that I am and I felt a small circular lump. ****ing great. I am off to the doctors tomorrow to get it seen to so I will update later on.
I hope I don't have cancer, but I...
You've hit the nail on the head with that, Gabe does seem to answer with very short sentences. Maybe he just doesn't want to reveal anything? I bet if he could he would write pages and pages of stuff about HL2!
I checked yesterday and thought I felt something, after 100 more paranoid feelings I come to the conclusion it was nothing (probably the tube).
Anyway, this is a VERY important subject that has been taboo for too long, some people don't want to check incase they find something, some just...
Exactly, and more importantly we can do PHYSICS tests!
How about making a shed out of wood then mowing through it with a machine gun and watching it fall over? Or making a massive bridge and shooting out important bits with a rocket launcher.
OMFG, September 30th!
I think it would be better if you just had Gman saying 'We have been rather busy in your absence, Mr Freeman'..
If you did that you could put more frames in there to make it smoother. You may as well remove the other crap because a stretching HL2 logo and screens really does suck.
I can't wait for the SDK. Hopefully Gabe will confirm a date that we can look forward to soon. Surely if they can predict the exact day the game will be released on then the SDK release is a piece of piss?
Surely this is bullshit, there's no way on this earth that that system could run HL2 on full detail, let alone at 70fps.
Someone needs to think before they speak.
